Content on this Site describes general principles of wound care and hyperbaric medicine and the services offered by Gable Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine. It is not medical advice, and it is not intended to be relied upon in making decisions about your own care.

No physician-patient relationship is created by this website. Reading this Site or corresponding with us does not make you our patient. A physician-patient relationship begins only after a provider has evaluated you and accepted you for care.

Every wound and every patient is different. Decisions about debridement, dressings, offloading, compression, infection management, vascular assessment, advanced modalities, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy depend on individualized clinical evaluation, including your medical history, circulation, nutrition, glycemic control, medications, and comorbid conditions. What is appropriate for one patient may be inappropriate or unsafe for another.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a prescription medical treatment. It has recognized indications, recognized contraindications, and known risks, which may include barotrauma to the ears and sinuses, temporary changes in vision, oxygen toxicity, and, in rare cases, seizure. Gable provides hyperbaric oxygen therapy only following physician evaluation and only for indications supported by clinical evidence and applicable coverage criteria. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is not offered here for uses that lack such support.

Do not delay care. If your wound is worsening, if you develop fever, spreading redness, increasing pain, or new drainage or odor, contact your provider promptly. In a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
